B i o g r a p h y
As a young, impressionable boy growing up in Scotland, my father, Robert gave me my very first guitar.
This very Fender Stratocaster has taken me, proudly, where I am today. I spent most of my teenage years trying to master the most complex and accomplished blues guitarists. Stevie Ray Vaughan being one of my favourites. BB King, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton and many more of these great blues Icons have inspired and driven me to pursue my career in music.
I decided to pack up my Strat and travel.
Doors have opened since I arrived in New Zealand.
I've been playing around the small town where I live, Wanaka, from all the bars and cafes to vineyards, weddings, functions and session gigs as a guitarist.
As I was a solo artist I figured I should beef things up a bit so I have accumulated an array of pedals, including a loop pedal, which has been some what visionary.
Since moving to New Zealand I have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with The Black Seeds at The Forsyth Stadium, Jimmy Barnes, Paul Ubana Jones, Swamp Thing and Salmonella Dub. As an artist, constantly striving to improve and develop my talents, every venture, gig, solo or band performance I am polishing and improving all the time.
Music is my passion, my drive.
I play a wide range of styles and whether it's a nice relaxing atmosphere or an upbeat one, I can create the mood for whatever you desire. I hope you like my page.
